Features
Lecture Studio Setup
OOHMP Shikshak studio captures lecturer live video stream using one or multiple
camera. The desktop or laptop output integration with live lecture video stream
is mixed used croma technique. The live lectures can be recorded and then uploaded
to the recorded lectures database. These can be further used for scheduling of recorded
lecturers for students who have missed the lecture. Receiving of video stream from
the classroom is optional and controllable. The lecturer can view classroom streams
if required. When the number of classroom increases it is not possible for the lecturer
to view all the classrooms. By default all classroom communicates using a web-module
to ask questions or send questions to the lecturer studio using sms. Only questions
which are approved by the moderator will be displayed to the lecturer. The lecturer
can see the person name from specific classroom from where the question has been
asked. After answering the questions, the lectuer can hide the answered questions
Classroom Unit
The output of oohmp box can be displayed onto a TV screen or monitor or a projector.
The display will consist of live or recorded lecture video stream along with questions
that are asked by various students. Education establishment logo and a running ticker
can also part of video stream. The oohmp boxes are plug and play set top boxes and
are minimum maintenance equipments with easily configurable network connectivity
setup to connect to your network. Streaming classroom video is optional and requires
additional camera equipment and 1MBPS sustained bandwidth.
Content Management Server
The content management server will store all recorded lectures. These recorded lectures
can then be pre-send to different classroom. These recorded lecturer then can be
played in class only when the web admin permits them. Web admin can schedule live
or recorded lectueres, create and display notices, decide on ticker content for
oohmp boxes as per course and student requirement. The web admin can receive screen
shots of lecturer that are played in the classroom as well as the classroom streams.
Classroom box ON-OFF status, disk-space, grouping and ungrouping of boxes to various
course groups can be done through this module.
